Mike`s Catfish Inn in Amite

I like mikrs,however will not order the stuffed shrimp again. The they use are very small. You only get a very tiny bite of shrimp. The stuffing was way too much for the size shrimp. It was under cooked. Not the first time I tried them but the last time. Husband s meal was very good.

The food was good and so was the service. My daughter is allergic to shell fish but not regular fish. The chef/cook fried her fish separate to make sure no contamination was done. My daughter loved it!😍

I enjoy the delicious food there all the time I come with or without family members. Carla and another lady was assistanting us and we really enjoyed the hospitality. thank you so much for all of that great service.

The food was not very good will not be going back. My sweet potato was black fish and shrimp had no season in the batter just plain. Terrible the service was not that great

My wife and I were heading to New Orleans to visit family and we stopped at the Louisiana Welcome Center. I asked if they knew of a place that you can get poboy sandwiches. Just 20 minutes down interstate 55 in a small town just off the interstate I believe the town name was Amite, La. Well this was the perfect place for much of the food we crave. We have stopped here a couple of times for lunch and I am sure we will again.

Very disappointed good was ok but not worth the prices. This is what we ate. Our bill was over $30.

Was in Amite with friends and looking for something local and found this neat little place with some great fish, shrimp and a generous salad bar. I found Mike's to be a friendly place with attentive service and nice prices.

The staff were very friendly. Salad bar was great, lots of different veggies to put on the salad. My husband got a combination plate fish was great, just one little piece was hard. Fried oysters had a great flavor, and he is kind of picky about fried foods.. Worth the drive to eat there.

They treat you like you are family. At one point the owner made rounds and assured everyone was ok. Everyone there is nice, food is always great. If you like hamburgers or steak, this is the place.

Great food and is pretty much a landmark at this point. Mike's has been a part of the family for many locals for decades. Their recipes are as authentic as a Southern Seafood House gets. They also have a nice salad bar and a sleek interior. Great for banquets or small get togethers that are nice, but won't break the bank either. Grab one of their souvenirs on the way out to remember your way back.

Nice place to take your family there , the bathroom was nice looking. And the only thing that I was concerned about is the water for to drink had a bad taste to it. But other than that good place to go & eat.

Pretty good food. The seafood was fried correctly and they have homemade onion rings! Those are hard to find nowadays.

Just opened back up , working the kinks out but delicious food as usual..

We were and traveling and had to make a pit stop and came across Mike’s. The catfish was really good. The people in this town are super friendly. Good experience hope to return. If you are traveling, stop by Mike Seafood. (It’s not far from the freeway)

Oysters cooked to perfection! The salad bar was kept well stocked. The veggies were all very fresh with a nice selection to choose from. The service is prompt and friendly. The prices were fair.

I love Mike's Catfish Inn it's my favorite place to eat in Amite,Louisiana. The food is so delicious when your order is taken it comes just like you order it. was rating at 5 star - but went back today and was highly disappointed today. Food was great, but the lady at front register was RUDE and NOT friendly - we had a table of 6 and she had bad attitude with all of us checking out today. Also, FYI - the side order of veggies is priced at $6.50 for basic steamed (un-flavored) veggies - should be ashamed!!!! I can see price of seafood, but $6.50 for thawed frozen veggies - is just horrible. Also, the hamburger steak cost MORE than then Shrimp Lunch Dinner - two co-workers ordered hamburger steak - and NO SIDES - since doing KETO & paid over $16 only a hamburger pattie on a plate - NO SIDES.

They have an amazing family atmosphere where you receive not only good southern hospitality, but also great taste in food.

Nice salad bar, large portions and reasonable prices. Came here with family who live nearby and had a yummy fried seafood dinner. Very casual, good for families. Don’t dress up, you’ll stick out like a sore thumb.

I am very picky when it comes to eating fish in a restaurant. Mike's catfish was delicious. I would recommend Mike's to ANYONE who is passing thru or just going to Amite they have to stop & eat at Mikes!
